With over 400 stores nationwide, Morrisons is the UK's fourth
largest food retailer. The Wood Green store employs 300 members of
staff and required the help of Reed in Partnership to fill several
additional retail vacancies.
Our Recruitment Manager attended a meeting with Morrisons to
survey the store and understand their working culture. From that
meeting it was possible to determine their needs - particularly
finding candidates with the right attitude for the vacancies. Our
Recruitment Manager then devised a recruitment process for the
We conducted various screenings and only put forward candidates
who matched the employer's values and requirements. The selected
candidates were required to attend an interview preparation session
to ensure they understood Morrisons' working culture and career
We arranged 20 interviews which resulted in 11 quality
candidates being placed into various roles within the Wood Green
site. We even held the successful candidates' induction on Reed
premises to save Morrisons time and expenditure.
Because we spent time understanding the needs of the store
management, we got it right first time.
