Job Support Wales Lot 1 (Youth Engagement)

Job Support Wales is a pan-Wales voluntary youth support programme, formerly known as Working Wales, and it will have three strands: (i) Youth Engagement; (ii) Youth Training and (iii) Adult programmes. Reed in Partnership is interested in bidding for the youth engagement and training strands, supporting 16-18 year olds with multiple barriers to move towards and into sustainable education, employment or training.

The programme intends to support young people with complex barriers including teenage parents, those with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), those with substance misuse issues, young offenders, and homeless young people. All referrals onto the programme will be received via Working Wales (a single, national employment support triage service), and the programme will provide intensive support (up to 25-30 hours per week of activity) to support young people to progress.

Interventions will include:

  • Mentoring
  • Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
  • Communication and behaviour skills
  • Employer-focused activities and work-focused preparation
  • Supporting young people to find, apply for an attain employment, apprenticeship and further learning or training outcomes
  • Supporting young people to transition into, and sustain, education, employment or training through tailored support

We are looking to hear from established organisations who can support our delivery of the above, either as an end-to-end provider or a provider of specialist support across one or more local authority areas.
