Confident Futures service launches

Reed in Partnership has been appointed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to deliver the Confident Futures service across the Home Counties and North East England.

Confident Futures forms part of the government’s efforts to ensure appropriate employment, health and skills support is available for people with health conditions and disabilities.

The service is designed to support them to build their confidence, improve their wellbeing and make progress towards their goals.

Confident Futures will provide participants with personalised support from a dedicated Progression Coach for up to 12 months, depending on their needs and circumstances. Their Progression Coach will work with them to understand their circumstances and develop a personalised Support Plan.

Support is flexible and participant-led, helping people access support and activities at a pace that works for them.

Support available through Confident Futures includes:

  • Specialist health and wellbeing support
  • Counselling and confidence-building interventions
  • Peer support opportunities
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Work placements
  • Access to local community services

Delivery will be supported by specialist partners Reed Wellbeing and Working Minds, providing participants with access to a broad range of interventions designed to support confidence, wellbeing and progression.

The service will be delivered in partnership with local communities, employers, voluntary organisations and specialist support providers across the Home Counties and North East.

Helen Easter, Programme Director at Reed in Partnership, said:

We are really pleased to have been appointed to deliver this important service.

Drawing on more than 25 years of experience supporting people to overcome barriers and move closer to employment, we know the difference that personalised, holistic support can make to people’s confidence, wellbeing and future prospects.

Through Confident Futures, our teams and specialist partners will work closely with participants to understand their individual circumstances, build on their strengths and connect them with the support they need to achieve their goals. We look forward to helping people across the Home Counties and the North East take positive steps towards a brighter future.
