Celebrating Forces Families Awards 2026
27 Apr 2026

We were delighted to attend the Celebrating Forces Families Awards 2026 last week, which recognise and honour the dedication and resilience of military families.
We were proud to sponsor the 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 award, which celebrates those who have volunteered for causes that support Armed Forces families.
Dan Lander, Programme Director for our delivery of the Ministry of Defence's Career Transition Partnership, and Head of Service Delivery, Charlene Brookes, presented the award and were pleased to announce Lesley Collier as this year's Volunteer of the Year.
Lesley founded the NeuroDiverse Community - Catterick in 2019, a parent-led organisation supporting Armed Forces families affected by neurodiversity. A military spouse and parent carer herself, Lesley recognised a critical gap in support for families navigating complex SEND needs, isolation and repeated relocations.
Under Lesley's volunteer leadership, the community has grown into a vital network reaching hundreds of households. Lesley volunteers more than 20 hours each week, delivering specialised support, sensory sessions, peer groups and youth empowerment programmes.
Congratulations to Lesley as well as all nominees, finalists and winners atthis year's awards!
