MP joins our Restart Scheme celebrations

We were delighted to welcome Lauren Edwards MP to our Chatham office to celebrate five years of delivering the Department for Work and Pensions Restart Scheme and its impact on people and employers across Medway.

Lauren joined participants, employers, training and community partners and colleagues to hear first-hand about the difference the Restart Scheme is making, including personal stories of people overcoming barriers, developing new skills and moving into employment.

Since July 2021, our Chatham team has helped thousands of local people into work, supported by strong employer relationships and local partnerships. We were pleased to hear contributions from Sunlight Development Trust and Medway Adult Education, highlighting the important role employers and training providers play in creating opportunities and supporting local recruitment.

The celebration was an opportunity to recognise the achievements of participants and thank our dedicated co-members, employers and partners for their contribution over the past five years.

Reed in Partnership delivers two of the top three best-performing Restart Scheme Contract Package Areas nationwide. We are proud of that record and look forward to helping many more people across Medway and beyond move into good work.
