Reed Wellbeing: the importance of clinical validation
28 Apr 2026
As Reed Wellbeing continues to celebrate 10 years of delivery of the Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme, Lesa Maginn, Clinical Assurance & Quality Manager at Reed Wellbeing explores the importance of high-level clinical validation.
Over the past decade, Healthier You has supported more than 179,000 people to reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes. While participants most visibly experience the expertise and encouragement of our Health Coaches, behind every high‑quality session sits something just as vital: a robust clinical framework grounded in evidence, expert knowledge and continuous improvement.
In this article, Lesa explores how clinical validation underpins everything Reed Wellbeing does – from dietetic expertise and behavioural science to strong medical governance and safeguarding.
Lesa also highlights how multidisciplinary clinical insight is embedded directly into frontline delivery, ensuring Healthier You remains safe, credible, compassionate and person‑centred, while continuing to evolve in line with emerging evidence and population need.
