Celebrating in Bradford

After the success of the Leeds Work Routes launch event last week, it was our Bradford office’s time to shine with the official launch of the local service.

Whilst figures released on Wednesday by the Office for National Statistics revealed a significant and welcome improvement in the national employment rate, there is still work to be done to support even more people into sustainable work. Work Routes has been introduced in Bradford to support local jobseekers with free, personal help with their job search.

The launch event, which was attended by more than 30 people from local employability organisations, was held at Reed in Partnership’s new office in Upper Piccadilly in the centre of Bradford.

Attendees learned more about the support Work Routes offers as well as how they could refer people on to the programme.

The event was launched by Bradford’s Lord Mayor, Councillor Geoff Reid, who said:

“The programme is a very positive development for Bradford residents and I was very pleased to launch it.”

“There was a great atmosphere at today’s event”.

“Reed in Partnership have a really strong track record of helping people into employment, and they clearly know what they are doing.”

“Work Routes is delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions and funded the European Social Fund; both of whom have already done fantastic work for the Bradford community.”
