    James Reed

    James Reed is the Chairman of Reed in Partnership and REED – Britain’s biggest and best-known recruitment brand and the largest family-owned recruitment company in the world.

    James is a regular media commentator on work and labour market issues, with recent appearances including BBC News, Sky News, BBC Radio 2 and The Apprentice. He has contributed insight to a wide range of publications including the Financial Times, Harvard Business Review and the Sunday Times.

    James is also a best-selling author of three books, The 7 Second CV, Why You? 101 Interview Questions You’ll Never Fear Again and Put Your Mindset to Work, which he co-authored with Dr. Paul Stoltz.

    He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). James lives in London with his wife Nicola and their six children.

    Managing Director

    Rhodri Thomas

    Rhodri started his career with Reed in Partnership in 2008 and joined the Board on his appointment as Director of Business Development in 2011. In this role Rhodri successfully diversified Reed in Partnership by securing contracts in the Youth Services, Skills and Preventative Health sectors.

    Rhodri was appointed Managing Director in 2019. He is responsible for leading the implementation of Reed in Partnership’s strategy and objectives and ensuring we deliver for the people who use and commission our services.

    Operations Director

    Donna Murrell

    Donna started with the company in 2003 as an Employment Adviser, working on the Employment Zone contract in Stratford. She progressed to the role of Business Manager in 2005 and two years later supported the implementation and management of Pathways to Work. She then went on to manage our then-largest contract as Programme Director for the Work Programme.

    As Operations Director, Donna is responsible for performance across all of our services. She leads, reviews and reports on service performance and supply chain management. She is also responsible for establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships, such as senior Jobcentre Plus contacts, local government, employer organisations and strategic partners.

    Director of Business Development

    Carla Alexander & Louise Edwards (Job Share)

    Carla and Louise develop and implement the company’s business growth strategy.

    Carla worked at Reed in Partnership from 2011 to 2017 leading on business development opportunities, with a focus on new markets, and operational management. She joined Family Mosaic Housing Association as Director of their Community Foundation in 2017, but returned to Reed in Partnership and was appointed to the Board in 2018. Carla has previously worked for a number of charities and third sector organisations.

    Louise has been with Reed in Partnership since 2011 working as a Senior Manager in the Business Development Team. She was previously a Managing Consultant at Greater London Enterprise for six years, leading on the management of publicly funded projects. Louise was appointed Director of Strategic Partnerships for Reed in Partnership in 2017, before being appointed to the Board as Director of Business Development in 2018.

    Director of People

    Tom Millar

    Tom has worked for Reed in Partnership at Board level since 2002. Currently he oversees our Human Resources and Learning & Development teams and, in addition, chairs one of our joint venture companies, Enterprise Growth Solutions. Tom's operational delivery expertise spans the commercial recruitment, employment, skills, education, business support and international trade sectors.

    After graduating from the University of Exeter with a Law degree, Tom worked as a qualified solicitor for almost ten years before choosing to join the REED family of companies in 1997 as People & Quality Director. He has held a wide variety of different Board level roles since then.

    Finance Director

    Steven Beggs

    Steve joined Reed in Partnership in 2007 initially focused on overseeing claims processes, revenue accounting and reporting before broadening his remit to include supporting the commercial analysis of new business opportunities in 2009.

    Appointed Head of Finance in 2011, Steve's role was expanded to include the full range of financial management activity for the business before assuming the role of Financial Controller in 2013. Steve was appointed to the Board as Finance Director in 2017 and oversees Reed in Partnership's Finance, Business Intelligence and Contract Management functions. Steve is a Chartered Management Accountant having qualified in 2006. Prior to joining Reed in Partnership, Steve worked for several medium to large manufacturing organisations in accounting roles.

    Director for Business Excellence

    Patrick Widdowson

    Patrick joined Reed in Partnership in 2018 and was added to the Board of Directors in 2019. He has over 20 years of experience working in services across a range of roles including operations, supply chain management, compliance and risk management.

    He is currently responsible for all new contract implementations, contract compliance, internal audit and IT systems development. Patrick's overarching focus is on Reed in Partnership's efficiency through innovation and change.
