Work Routes Haringey

Reed in Partnership is launching a new service in Haringey on Monday to help unemployed residents into work.

More than 9,000 people in Haringey were recorded as being unemployed in figures released in June 2017.

Work Routes Haringey has received funding from London Councils and the European Social Fund (ESF) to offer 375 unemployed Haringey residents free support.

The programme will run for two years to give unemployed people the skills and confidence they need to start work.

Employment Advisers based within the borough will work directly with people to discuss their individual circumstances and offer one-to-one support including: CV development; interview practice; free skills training courses; work experience opportunities; and searching and applying for jobs.

The service will continue to offer people support once they have started a job, to help them navigate their way through the first few days, weeks, or months of their new role. Advisers are also on-hand to support people overcome issues that may be preventing them from starting work, including housing and financial problems, lone parenthood and care responsibilities.

Employment specialists Reed in Partnership will start delivering Work Routes Haringey on Monday 15 January.
