Disability Confident Leader status
20 Sep 2018
Reed in Partnership has been recognised as a Disability Confident Leader, the highest level of recognition on the Government’s Disability Confident Scheme. The scheme supports employers to make the most of the talents disabled people can bring to the workplace.
In becoming a Disability Confident Leader, Reed in Partnership has demonstrated that it is not only taking positive action to recruit and retain disabled people but is also actively sharing best practice and encouraging other organisations to join the scheme.
Martin Fallon, Managing Director at Reed in Partnership said:
“We’re delighted to have been awarded Disability Confident Leader. As the leading employment support provider, Reed in Partnership has delivered a range of work and health services. We value diversity and are committed to reducing and removing the barriers to employment, that people with disabilities face on a daily basis.”
To be recognised as a Disability Confident Leader, organisations complete a self-assessment which is validated by an authorised third party. Reed in Partnership’s evidence of good practice was validated by Business Disability Forum, a membership organisation that supports businesses to become fully accessible to its customers and employees.
Over half of workplaces are missing out on disabled talent. Disability Confident organisations play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better and are able to benefit from the diverse skills, experiences and views disabled employees bring.
