Employer Spotlight - Parkdean Resorts

At Reed in Partnership, we are proud to partner with a diverse range of employers to offer unemployed jobseekers using our funded employability services access to good local job opportunities.

Parkdean Resorts is a leading provider of holiday park experiences, offering holidays in rural and coastal locations across 66 locations in the UK. Since we started working together in 2023, they have been a key strategic partner for Reed in Partnership’s Employability division.

Over the past two years we have supported Parkdean Resorts with their recruitment and have successfully filled more than 130 roles across their sites including positions for bar staff, maintenance and cleaners. Throughout our collaboration, Parkdean Resorts have prioritised opening doors to unemployed jobseekers who may be facing additional or complex barriers to finding employment.

Candidates receive comprehensive support from the hiring managers at Parkdean Resorts and our own Employment Advisers throughout their application process. This includes showcasing the kind of roles and work available, how these roles can match their personal circumstances, skills and experience and then comprehensive feedback at each stage of the recruitment process. This support continues once an individual receives a job offer, helping participants to prepare necessary documents and build their confidence prior to beginning their new roles. For those who are not successful in their application process, the constructive and supportive feedback given helps them to better prepare for their next opportunity.

When Shaun joined the Restart Scheme, an employability service Reed in Partnership delivers for the Department for Work and Pensions, he was struggling to get responses from job applications which was impacting his confidence. With the help of his Employment Adviser, Shaun was supported to make a new CV, rebuild his confidence and apply to vacancies.
