Right Advice and Experience Award for Reed in Partnership

4 Oct 2022

Reed in Partnership has been recognised at the the first ever Business Purpose Coalition Levelling Up Awards 2022, in recognition of its achievements in helping to improve social mobility and level up the country.

The categories for the Awards are based on 14 Levelling Up Goals, launched by the Rt Hon Justine Greening, Chair of the Social Mobility Pledge and former Education Secretary, in 2021. These provide the framework to allow organisations to measure and benchmark their activities at key life stages and to identify other barriers to opportunity, such as digital connectivity and good health and wellbeing.

We were recognised for our work that meets Goal Four – providing Right Advice and Experiences – acknowledging the impact that our services have in providing the opportunity for individuals to progress their lives and personal circumstances.

The Awards were hosted by Lord John Walney, Chair of the Business Purpose Coalition, and by former CEO and now Consultant at Shoosmiths, Simon Boss. Special Awards went to Simon Boss and to Sir Peter Lampl, Founder & Chair of the Sutton Company and the Sutton Trust, for their outstanding leadership in the business world.

Founder of the Social Mobility Pledge and former Education Secretary, Rt Hon Justine Greening, said:

“Huge congratulations to all our Award winners today. They have demonstrated genuine leadership in supporting their colleagues, clients and the communities they serve. With the legacy of the pandemic and now the growing challenges of the cost of living crisis, it has never been more important that businesses show ambition and purpose in delivering positive social impact.

“Reed in Partnership has demonstrated particular strength in the Right Advice and Experience category, using its expertise and knowledge to target support where it is most needed. It’s a great role model for a responsible business, not just virtue-signalling but making a real difference providing positive and tailored advice ensuring participants can improve their life chances. I'm looking forward to working with it to further shape the role that businesses can play in the levelling up agenda.”
