Making stronger post-16 pathways a reality

Today we launch our latest report, 'Making stronger post-16 pathways a reality', which is a follow up to our recent report around the UK's NEET crisis: 'A three-lane superhighway into work'.

This report argues that the Government's plans for new post-16 pathways have the potential to strengthen young people's pathways from education to employment, whether they choose an academic or vocational route - or a mixture of both.

We explore what will be needed for the rollout to succeed, including high-quality careers education, deeper employment engagement and extensive stakeholder communication, as well as a drive to widen the opportunities available to young people once they leave education.
